What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient healing art, is a gentle, non-invasive form of energy medicine that was rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900’s. Similar to reiki and acupuncture, it restores and balances the energy in your body.

What is it good for?

  • Physical pain– Jin Shin Jyutsu can be effective in reducing physical pain whether acute or chronic.
  • Emotional pain – Whether brought about by unexpected events or over the long term, Jin Shin Jyutsu can offer relief from difficult emotional states.
  • Existing health conditions – As part of an integrated approach to health Jin Shin Jyutsu complements traditional healthcare practices.

What is a session like?

A Jin Shin Jyutsu session lasts about an hour and begins with the client providing their history, relevant information and voicing their concerns.  Then the client lies on their back on a padded table, while fully clothed. The practitioner then “listens” to the pulses in the wrists which indicate where energy may be blocked. Once the practitioner has all the information, they gently place their hands on specific locations of the body, following specific sequences

The session does not involve massage, manipulation of muscles, insertion of needles or the use of any drugs or substances.   The practice utilizes unique and detailed diagrams of the major energy channels within the body and twenty-six sets of key locations used to restore harmony and balance.
